I am a curious person, and I always try to improve my knowledge of the world. As far as I am concerned, a research question should aim at practical policy applications. In fact, empirical methods and policy issues have been at the root of my academic and professional experiences.
Below you can download my curriculum vitae. Aside you find its summary.
My research agenda concerns political economy, economic history, and development economics. As a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, I have analysed the relationship between female rule and empowerment in a state of India where a dynasty of queens ruled for almost a consecutive century.
As a Research Fellow at the University of Bolzano, I have analysed the effect of the emergence of political dynasties on local corruption and public deficit, using administrative data from Indonesia.
I have been Teaching Assistant for two professors in a course of International Macroeconomics at SAIS – Johns Hopkins University.
I worked as market analyst in the anti-trust sector at Charles River Associates in Brussels. I have mostly dealt with cases of mergers and abuse of dominance.
At CREST in Paris, I contributed to an empirical analysis of the opening of new university campuses on firm creation.
In parallel to my intellectual activities, I am an outdoors lover. I think that travelling and getting to know a diversity of people and points of view is an inestimable source of inspiration for policy-oriented research questions.

Here is a great example of one of my outdoors passions. The photo was taken on the French side of the Brèche de Roland.
