Who I am and what I have done

My first objective is to enhance my knowledge of the world as much as possible.

However, this is not an aim in itself. I consider it particularly valuable when the study of the question goes together with practical answers to the improvement of living conditions.

Indeed, policy-relevant issues have been at the root of my professional and academic experiences.

Shortly:

My current research agenda is in political economy, economic history and development economics. I am implementing it at the European University Institute, and at the Free University of Bolzano.

In Bologna, I have been senior teaching assistant of two different professors in the field of international macroeconomics and finance at the Johns Hopkins University.

In Brussels, I worked as market analyst in the anti-trust sector. I dealt mainly with mergers and cases of abuse of dominance.

In Paris, I contributed to an empirical analysis of the opening of new university campuses on firm creation.

In Frankfurt, I produced economic policy analyses and a working paper on the correlation of inflation and labour costs within the Eurozone.

In Milan, I took part in an evaluation of public policies that should have sustained small and medium enterprises after the financial crisis.
